Geurie STP

Work commenced October 2007 and was completed in August 2008. This was a Greenfield site for the village of Geurie located near Dubbo in NSW. The new STP would provide sewerage treatment for the residences of this village.
The scope of work is as follows:
- Installation of new consumer’s mains and main switchboard (SCA No-1).
- Installation of a power factor correction board (SCA No-2).
- Installation of an effluent treatment switchboard (SCA No-3).
- Installation of underground conduits and pits as specified.
- Installation of an underground cable reticulation system as per drawings supplied.
- Wiring of pump motors installed in the Induced draft electrically aerated tank (IDEAT). These motors included 2 x aspirators, a sludge withdrawal pump and a mixer.
- Wiring of the alum tank and sewage drainage pumps.

Wiring of the backwash pumps and backwash filters. - Installation, wiring and calibration of 2 x flow-meters, dissolved oxygen sensor and level controls.
- Wiring of the UV system controls.
- Installation of field termination panels as specified.
- Wiring of the amenities/laboratory building.
- Wiring of the effluent treatment building.
- Design and wiring of the booster re-use pump system
- Installation and wiring of the area lights and site general purpose power points.
- All telephone and data requirements as specified.
All work was carried out in co-ordination with the civil contractors’ construction schedule and the other trades onsite. Commissioning carried out in conjunction with the Department of Commerce PLC programmer. All documentation provided to the satisfaction of the client and Department of Commerce.
